Major water supply outage to hit north of Phuket Town

PHUKET: The Phuket Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA) has announced that the mains water supply will be shut off across a large part of the island north of Phuket Town on Friday (July 26) due to a power blackout affecting pump stations.

BANGKOK, 24th July 2019 (NNT) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs led by Director-General of the Department of ASEAN Affairs, Dr. Suriya Jindawong, has informed both the Thai and interantional news media that the 52nd ASEAN Foreign Minister’s Meeting, will be held from 29th July to 3rd August, during which the key issues will cover four topics and be aimed at benefitting all members.

PHUKET: Raids by Phuket police have netted five suspects in five days and resulted in more than half a kilo of crystal ice and more than 20,000 meth pills being seized, as well as one man arrested carrying a loaded handgun in a temple car park in Phuket Town.

"Wives of foreigners" fall victim to massive Ponzi scheme on Koh Samui

Morning fire in Patong destroys workers camp

At about 9 am this morning, a fire started at a construction workers’ camp in Patong, destroying about 18 units. Both Burmese and Thai workers were living in the camp. There was no one at the camp at the time as they’d all headed off to work for the day.

Retired teacher shoots dead underage lover, turns gun on himself: police

BEIJING (Reuters) - China warned on Wednesday that it was ready for war if there was any move toward Taiwan’s independence, accusing the United States of undermining global stability and denouncing its arms sales to the self-ruled island.
