Immigration police and Department of Employment officials in Ayuthaya went to a company in Uthai district yesterday where they arrested four Chinese nationals for working illegally.

The Chinese were charged with working without a work permit.

They were handed over to the Uthai police to be prosecuted.

No names were given and the company involved was not reported in the Naew Na story.

Thaivisa notes that Naew Na are reporting daily on the activities of Thai immigration nationwide.

How many Thais are working illegally in South Korea and Japan?

Around 113,000 is the estimate by the South Koreans of potential illegal Thai workers I understand. As for Japan well who knows because I believe Thais can go for 2 weeks visa free so guess that opens up the working routine of 2 on 2 off ????. As for the Chinese mentioned in the OP no names or company was given so perhaps the company owner is well "connected" ?
