Goldieinkathu
Dr Parichart at the Parichart clinic just past the Bangkok Phuket Hospital in Samkong ( on the same side) is very good and not expensive. She speaks good English and is very professional. Sorry can't tell you how much for a mole removal but the phone number for her receptionist is 0858636987. Was quoted 3000 baht per mole at one place seems a bit pricy I think it would depend on the procedure required to remove the mole and the type of mole you require removed. I had a mole removed on my left cheek (face), by a dermatologist under local anesthetic when I was on holiday in Sydney Australia, got back here and my doctor emailed me saying the results were in from the lab, and that I needed to go and see a plastic surgery straight away as they would know what to do. What I had was a Basal-cell carcinoma (BCC), also known as basal-cell cancer, is the most common type of skin cancer. It often appears as a painless raised area of skin, which may be shiny with small blood vessels running over it; or it may present as a raised area with ulceration. Fortunately for me Shirley on the health forum steered me in the right direction and I had the rest which was deep under my skin removed under local anesthetic again, but in a real surgery room, big lights, 4 students, nurses the whole razzamataz, I was quite nervous, but it was a young associate professor who carrying out the procedure in front of some of his students, first time I was cut open with a laser, and boy could I smell that skin burning as he made his mark, ended up with an 80cm long incision, and was about to change my name to Scarface, suffice to say that was 2 years ago and you can't see much, maybe a 10cm scare if you really look. So best to find out what kind of mole you have first, remove it, then go from there, because if it's just removing a mole, that ain't sorting anything, make sure they identify what type of mole it is first as did the Dermatologist I saw, but wanted to confirm it by sending it to the labe, and then going from there. Edit: Cost was 6,000 baht in a Government University Hospital in Nong Kaen

Felt I am very satisfied with the surgery, coming from Sydney Australia, I was nervous as I had never been under the knife here in Thailand. The surgeon was very professional, had a team of students watching the procedure, he was an associate professor so I suppose you can't get better than that and spoke good English. The 80mm scare is now about 10mm in size and not noticeable. The name of the hospital I would be guessing as it was over 2 years ago, but I think it was Srinagarind Hospital ? Some minor ones can be removed fairly easily whilst others can mean some pretty deep surgery (I know I had a BCC removed from my face a few years back) so best see a good specialist to make sure.......you gave good advice. ourdon
First off, congratulations on getting the cancer successfully removed. Hopefully it stays that way. I've had friends with cancer. Some treatments worked. All forms of the disease are horrid.
