You think that I am a PRC propaganda stooge ???
Do you think it will be a good idea if them kids turn up at the airport next week, and stay there for days and days, stopping flights entering and leaving Hong Kong ?

Them kids are trying to apologise for causing the airport to grind to a halt, for two days. Do you reckon that them kids are wrong to apologise ?

Do you reckon that them kids should actually say "we are happy that we displayed our ability to cause the airport to grind to a halt, we've shown that we can cause Hong Kong to grind to a halt, yes, we can do it, and we're certainly not saying that we are sorry, we are proud of ourselves, we're going to take over the airport again, next week". Is this your opinion ??   ????

I think his opinion was (is) that you sound like a PRC propaganda stooge. It was fairly clearly stated.

Any Hong Konger would recognise a mainland Chinese as soon as he opened his mouth. Even the Guangdongers who speak Cantonese dialect have a completely different accent and bastardize their language with Mandarin. It's called Bai Hua.  It's a complete fallacy.

There will be no troops crossing the border however much everybody salivates about it. There are already troops stationed in Hong Kong if they're wanted. There has been a garrison there since the handover. In 10 weeks no-one has seen fit to call them out.

A complete fallacy would be to assume that Chinese intelligence services aren't aware of this and would send in someone that will be easily recognized. Or that they cannot find any local or HK born to serve in such a capacity.

I don't own a crystal ball, but I've seen the pictures of them military vehicles amassing in the stadium. Some parade planned or making sure reinforcements are around if needed?

If you read back, we're arguing the same point. Another poster said they were mainland agitators, I said it was impossible.

Internal news says that the vehicles were on an annual typhoon rescue exercise, be that true or not, Shenzhen FC beat Guangzhou R&F 4-0 on Wednesday with a crowd of 12500-ish. Must have been a pretty restricted view with all those military vehicles packed in there.

Plus work it out yourself, what you were shown was maybe 16 APC's? 20 troops in each? 320 troops when they've got 6000 already in HK? Makes little sense.

Yawn. Mainland affiliation. Not necessarily background.

Let them deflections flow. The vehicles are there. In all probability, not the only site. Even if a relatively small number, their effectiveness would be related to the units involved. Special ops and such don't require a whole lot of personnel.

The climate is tense, extreme and protesters are desperate.

But no matter what, one does not take innocent passengers as hostages for a social unrest by blocking an airport.

The Chinese government will give them a harsher trashing for that and obviously it was not a smart move.

Nobody here would be singing in praise if one day some hordes of coloured shirts blocked Swampy airport to protest and made you miss your flights.

Well you're obviously not here for a discussion, the more i say from the other side which are indisputable facts and easily verified, the more vague and evasive you become. If you'd like to believe that China would put out specialist Army units against a bunch of raggedy ar*ed kids, carry on. The perfectly ordinary People's Armed Police would mince them in minutes and they haven't been deployed yet either.

Have a good day.

What do we say to these demonstraters ?

"Okay, we accept your apologies, just don't turn up at the airport next week, don't disrupt anymore flights".

Or, we say "go over there, stand facing the airport wall, pull down your trousers and your underpants, and bend over, sticking your bottom into the air, and we will give you two lashes of the cane on your bottom". "And if you are a girl, pull your knickers down, lift your dress up, bend over, you will also get two lashes of the cane, on your bare bottom".

We've got to bear in mind, in schools across Britain, during previous times, yes, children who caused problems at school were given the cane. And if children were given this punishment, surely, teenagers and young adults can also be given the same punishment.

You're not discussing anything. Just repeating the party line or issuing deflections. Whether what you post amounts to "indisputable facts" is questionable. What is clear is that the facts that you do choose, are the ones which support your (China's) narrative.

I'm not the one pretending to know everything or to be in possession of crystal ball. That would be you, as it appears from your postings. You're welcome to twist my words or imply meanings I have not included. Wouldn't expect any less of you.

For the point at hand, I don't think the Chinese authorities are stupid or careless. They would prepare for any development or scenario. Including general civil mayhem in HK. Handling such would necessitate more security personnel than currently  deployed. Handling trickier situations within such a scenario would require better trained and equipped troops.

Who's the "we" you imagine yourself to be when posting this nonsense?

"We", as the generalopinion of us, here on this forum.

Actually, what's your view ? Do you reckon that, accepting their apologies and telling them to not do it again, is that what you want to do ? Or, do you think it's a good idea to give the demonstraters a punishment ? Or, do you reckon that encouraging them to go back to the airport next week, and disrupt more flights, is that what you want to do ?

Great - so, for the record, you do not speak for any "us". You do not represent any "us" either. In fact, there is no "us" when it comes to this forum - opinions and views here are often varied, and there's no "vote" on what's acceptable.

My view is that I'm not overly interested in playing your contrived games. I'm not in a position to punish anyone, no reason to be angry with or forgive these guys, and it's their show - if they are willing to risk things for their goals - up to them.

The bogus notion of "to do about it" is ridiculous.

Moles sent in and allegiant to the mainland. Paid as well. Money talks. . No telling what will happen. China is not that civil or caring. So it is anyone’s call as I see it.
