Don't confuse legitimate criticism of the current right wing Israeli government's shameful 52 year illegal occupation of 4.5 million indigenous Palestinians with anti Semitism.
Where have the Congresswomen ever preached blind hatred of Jews simply because they are born Jewish? That's what Antisemitism really is and you demean the memory of millions who really have suffered genuine Antisemitism by crying wolf every time some criticizes Israel.

Anti Semites don't celebrate Sabbath with their Jewish friends.
Tlaib Mourns Cancelled West Bank Trip With Jewish Supporters in Detroit
Members of Jewish Voice for Peace organized a Shabbat service and dinner after Congresswomen Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar were barred from visiting the West Bank

Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib spent Friday evening in a Detroit park surrounded by members of the anti-occupation group Jewish Voice for Peace, which had organized a Shabbat service and dinner to support her in the aftermath of her thwarted trip to the West Bank.

Again Trump has done more to harm Israel by his bull in a china shop diplomacy.
And Netanyahu , whatever points he scored with Trump, has handed a megaphone to the BDS movement. The genie is out of the bottle: any criticism of Israel, once taboo and political suicide, is now open debate.

Bernie Sanders summed up the furore perfectly:

“But the idea that a member of the United States Congress cannot visit a nation which, by the way, we support to the tune of billions and billions of dollars, is clearly an outrage and if Israel doesn’t want members of the United States Congress to visit their country to get a first-hand look at what’s going on, and I’ve been there many many times, but if [Mr. Netanyahu] doesn’t want numbers to visit, maybe he can respectfully decline the billions of dollars that we give to Israel,” https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/aug/16/bernie-sanders-israel-can-decline-the-billions-in-/

And the last word from Omar:

“As many of my colleagues have stated in the last 24 hours, we give Israel more than $3 billion in aid every year. This is predicated on their being an important ally in the region, and the ‘only democracy’ in the Middle East.
Denying visits to duly elected Members of Congress is not consistent with being either an ally or a democracy."

The point you make about criticism of Israel in the US is spot on.

It's no longer taboo and Jewish support for radical Zionism is no longer to be taken for granted.

Not to mention that the Somalian "refugee" crisis in America was dumped disproportionately on the state of Minnesota and it should be no surprise that this person was gerrymandered into Congress. She's an affirmative action joke.

So only non muslims should be allowed to vote.

You do realise she was voted in because the people thought she could serve them best.

How has her being elected impacted on you. Besides bringing out your best side.

Score one for Palestine.

The Israelis just kicked in another own goal.

With friends like their goofy supporters in the US they don't need enemies.

Maybe. If one was simplistic enough to think of things as a game. Or to pretend that the game just started. Israel can expect some congressional backlash, to one degree or another - how does that promote the Palestinian's cause is unclear.

I think the Israeli government was put between a rock and a hard place. Not sure that denying/defying Trump would have been less damaging (especially not in the short term). And obviously, yes, a propaganda bonanza for the two congresswomen and other anti-Israeli elements, like yourself.

That said, most of the feisty words regarding USA Aid to Israel are nonsense and posturing. Unless much mistaken, more than 80% of said Aid funds are spent in the USA, buying from USA firms. Don't see that being cancelled or significantly scaled down any time soon.

As for Omar's views - well she was (and is) pretty much against any Aid to Israel anyway, so no surprises there - faux indignation notwithstanding.

The whole thing was certainly a shot in the foot, as far as Israel is concerned. Doubtful that it could have been completely averted. Remains to be seen if there will be significant effects and repercussions. I think you're jumping the gun.

You can spin things all you like. At least one of them (Omar) did dabble in antisemitic statements. That you pretend to consider it otherwise carries little weight - her own party did not approve, and she had to apologize. Your view that only overt and extreme expressions of antisemitism are to be considered as antisemitism is neither widely accepted nor logically sound.

Yes, Tlaib did meet with a group of left-wing pro-Palestinian American Jews. A bit of political cliche, but guess that's the best that could have been orchestrated. Does shred the previously aired by another poster that Jews "are not allowed" (or somesuch) to express criticism of Israel.

And speaking of criticism - how about being truthful, or at least accurate: much of the criticism you, for example, engage in, is not limited to the Israeli right-wing, not to the occupation. On most topics, you go way farther and wider than this.

I think that, for quite a long time now, there is no granted "Jewish support" for "radical Zionism". Same goes for criticism of Israel.
