Appropriately enough the Khao Kala retreat is near Nakorn Sawan - the City of the Heavens. For years the locals in the area have believed that they can talk to extraterrestrials through meditation. Many people have reported seeing flying saucers in the area. Others think they were just clouds. But an alien encounter was promised at the facility on Saturday. Skeptics say this is just a way to get the gullible to donate. Khao Kala has attracted the attention of forestry officials who believe that the facility is encroaching on forest land. A survey using satellite images is being carried out to determine what the naked out seems to observe. Meanwhile the man in charge has gone into hiding after apparently getting wise to a police and military raid accompanying the forestry officials yesterday. An alien encounter event planned for tomorrow (Saturday) has now been shelved and it is all quiet at the retreat.
