However, surely even he isn’t this stupid.

BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT!

Thank you for playing.

A certain US newsperson of unquestionably progressive stance says that for the first time she actually feels sorry for DT, in that this is obviously a cruel hoax.

Personally, I think it is ok, his buffoon personality and odious manner is all his own doing.  Perhaps after he is dead his kids will come forward and declare that Daddy Dearest was diagnosed as mentally ill, and that any scorn for him is sick and unforgivable.  But hang in there, this may be the first US president to be escorted from the WH in a straight jacket.  Or armed officers.

A more likely scenario is Trump’s team leaking a ridiculous story, letting it run them denying it came from them.

Set up the media with a fake story then shout ‘fake media’ so when what is coming down the pike can also be labeled fake.

Got a link? ????????????

I don't know, the last time I checked the majority of the best universities in the world were in the US.

They also don't tax you 60%

And can you remind me the worldwide recognized companies Denmark produced? Few US ones come to my mind without even thinking

Would one of those be Trump University.?

The education system in Denmark is far superior to the USA system

Excellent health care ( foc)

Excellent retirement benefits

I worked with a US guy who was in the military during the Cold War, stationed in Greenland.  He used to say "remember, Greenland is ice and Iceland is green."

Some people are actually defending this craziness by DT.  If it was the paid trolls well, they're just doing their job.  Otherwise....

With the help of imported brains. Btw. Morally not so powerful.

And yet, you don't see a whole lot of them "imported brains" heading for Denmark.

It's fine denigrating the USA, especially with the current President being what he is. Letting this narrative overcome fact, less so.

That the wrong question.

It should be: Which drugs (medicine) did he forgot to take for too long?

Maybe he has severe PTSD from his dramatic bone spurs experience.

Doctor, I need my meds!

Oh dear, surely not even POTUS could seriously believe that the people would prefer the USA to Denmark.

They have a stable economy, understand social justice, have world class health care  and education.

What drugs does the POTUS indulge in when his thumbs stop moving?

You may well be completely wrong.Has anybody actually asked the 60,000 Greenlanders most of whom are descended from the Inuit people of North America? There is a strong independence movement and not that much affection for Denmark or its culture.Add to that a sky high suicide rate and a massive alcohol problem.Acquisition by America would result in a great increase in living standards and a closer attention/greater resources than Denmark is able to bring.

The purchase of great land masses by the US isn't historically unusual - Louisiana, Florida, Alaska etc.

It may not be the right thing to do but it's certainly not the absurd proposal you suggest.

This is robably a  genuine interest by the US as laughable as it seems. Part of the scramble to  establish  rights to continental shelf resources.

Hawaii is not simply a  small territorial naval base  anymore!

The reason, in large part, is likely that Greenland is rich in natural resources, including iron ore, lead, zinc, diamonds, gold, rare-earth elements, uranium and oil, according to the Brookings Institution, a nonprofit public-policy organization in Washington, D.C.
