Was JH Lynch Responsible for our 'Dusky Maiden' Desire?

For those of us who spent our formative teenage years in the 1970's - we could not avoid being exposed to the paintings of JH Lynch.  Even if our own Mother's had not bought the prints in Boots, there would be 'Tina' and 'Tree Woman' taunting us from the walls of our Auntie's house.

So is it any surprise that in our adult years we seek out the Dusky Maiden of our youthful fantasies?

Apparently the model for 'Tina' was Jean Shrimpton.  Bit before Adele's time ????

It is believed she was indeed the model upon whom he based his Tina and Woodland Goddess paintings.

I am happily married to a Dusky, but sadly she's no longer a Maiden.
