Unsurprisingly, all their wives have been incredibly frugal with the housekeeping allowance - allowing them to purchase and keep multiple houses.

Don't forget their dead friends that gave them money before departing this world.

Always remember the dead friends ......... or, you won the money at the casino! Classic. ????

If RTP had got their act together, they would have already filled the vacancies! I find it inconceivable that "Retiring police officers to leave over 6000 posts vacant"! Surely they knew well in advance that there wold be 6,000 retirements!

Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect

you have to give those aspiring to the post time to get the bung money together, the amounts are quite considerable

And no doubt the big chiefs will readily be open to "offers" in order to fill the vacated posts

As stated last week in a post... only the longest serving officers will be granted promotion..

regardless of talent!

RTP is employing roughly 230 000 officers, so not any major difference.  But why not make the country safer and retire a few more?

A few more ....what an excellent idea ...( except my son in law, of course ) :cheesy:

Is 223,706  a good number ?

Looks like there will be a BIG increase in fake traffic stops this next month, as senior policemen will be pushing juniors to dramaticly increase money intake.

whats the connection there?  I dont see it....  less cops to do their huge workload so it would go the other way I would have thought

Among those retiring are the three deputy National Police commissioners, namely Pol General Chalermkiat Srivorakan, Pol General Rungroj Saengkram and Pol General Srivara Ransibrahmanakul, as well as RTP deputy inspector general Pol Lt-General Tawitchai Palasak.

With PM Prayut now directly supervising the RTP, none of these positions are needed.

And Prayut always has DPM Prawit as his backup.

Well Prawit's got something behind him anyway. I'm sure he'll be able to make a small deposit.

You dont see the connection?

Every senior police post is bought by middle ranking officers wanting up the ladder.

So middle ranking officers have to get loads of money, so they pressure juniors to pass more money up the chain.

Also there wont be less cops, as there are thousands of people wanting police jobs.

A hell of a lot of money is required now just to get a police job.

I wonder which rank will fetch the highest price, the Police Col, Lt/Col, Lt/Gen, Maj/Gen Etc, etc.

Are you worried about being pulled over in Big C in your boy racer machine with go faster stripes?

I reckon they'd get you for overtaking in the express checkout lane.

I suggest that Big Joke is reassigned to Big C to make sure that Colin does not get up to too much motorized mischief.
