You can adjust the sensitivity of infrared switch so a mouse or bird would not trigger it but human and car would. Personally, I would use a Raspberry Pi or Arduino with a LTE antenna for internet. recom273 Posted August 23, 2019 Share Posted August 23, 2019 Outside my house I have a Reolink cameras, they are a chinese on AliExpress, I use the version that uses power but there are battery powered, waterproof and non-waterproof. They have an app that handles motion detection. Inside the house I have Xiaomi Xiaofang cameras, these are cute little fixed cameras, they are unobtrusive around the home, you can even run them off a battery pack if need be, they also make a defang which is motorized. I record and view with Synology Surveillance station .. which is an app installed in my NAS .. this manages multiple streams to a live view monitor.
