webfact Posted August 20, 2019 Share Posted August 20, 2019 Canadian big biker, 64, killed in motorcycle smash on Friendship Highway Picture: Thai Rath Police were called after two motorcycles collided on the Friendship Highway in Khong district heading towards Nakorn Ratchasima on Sunday afternoon. Dead at the scene was a 64 year old Canadian man who had been riding a 650 cc Kawasaki Versys. The victim was wearing a helmet and had collided with a roadside tree that also showed damage. He was a resident of Jor Hor sub-district, Muang Nakorn Ratchasima. Nearby was a Honda Wave. Mr Yuphin Waiphrip, 49, was driving and 53 year old female Sanong Khanthawat was riding pillion. They were injured and taken to Phimai Hospital. The accident happened when the bikes collided between KM markers 204 and 205 around 3.30 pm. The Canadian man's relatives have been informed.
