Some MPs from the opposition New Economics Party will defect to the government camp, Mr. Niyom Wiwatthanaditthakul, the party deputy leader, said today (Tuesday), ending 24 hours of speculation about the breakup of the party.

Mr. Niyom today represented the party on behalf of party leader, Mr. Mingkwan Saengsuwan, at the meeting of whips from the seven-party Opposition at the head office of Pheu Thai party, the core Opposition party.

Responding to a reporter’s question about the rumoured defections, Mr. Niyom admitted that some of the party’s six MPs had, indeed, decided to join the government, while he and Mr. Mingkwan remain with the Opposition.

The Government being PM Prayut and his motley assembly of Phalang Prarachat members plus other assorted defectors. These latest small time turncoats should always remember that:

You see people from the government defect to the opposition and vice versa. Seems it balances itself out. Too bad I had hoped for a slow but gradual decline of the government MP's. Now the guy that wanted to defect from the government has a lot less bargaining power.

defectors should be barred from holding their seat, and another by election called, what am i saying a lot of toe rags in the UK have done this, MPs were voted in for their policy, by the voters, not the policy of another party.

They won the election by being the opposition and now they crossed over. Their constituencies has been betrayed and will remember that in the next election.

As usual they don't give a <deleted> about what their voters voted for.

They're just deceitful whores who have shown their true colours
