BANGKOK, 23 August 2019(NNT) - Government Spokesperson Prof. Naruemol Phinyosinwat disclosed today that Prime Minister and Defense Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha, is following reports on the Amazon forest fire in Brazil, which is one of the most important forests in the world. The forest fire has spread over about 3,000 square kilometers and as blazed continuously. The authorities are still unable to control the situation.

The Prime Minister expressed his regard for the government and the Brazilian people, emphasizing that the Thai government is ready to provide assistance and necessary items such as face masks if needed. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is to coordinate with the Brazilian government in offering assistance.

The forest fire has caused smoke and dust to cover the city of Sao Paulo and is affecting many people. The Prime Minister said we have to place importance on environmental problems wherever they occur, as it is a challenge that the world community needs to solve cooperatively, because they not only affect the economies of the world, but also directly affect humans.

He can't even stop the burning in CM, and now he's aiming for Brazil...

He's offering his considerable expertise on this problem. Really!! What's he going to do, order them to sort it in 7 days?

What a pity that the man doesn't put the same importance on the rice paddy and forest fires in his own country that choke especially northern cities to death EVERY SINGLE YEAR.

Just more BS from the master of BS.

What practical use can he be?

Does he actually think anybody outside of Thailand takes any notice of him.

Maybe he has told the Brazilian government instructions about giving the fire fighters 7 days to fix it, what a bloody clown.

He must be trying to sell them a load of unused fire engines stored in Bangkok.

Now that is a good one, but is it wise to raise the subject, seeing how it's supposed to be well forgotten by now.

Yep. Fire marshal Prayuth who can't even take care of his own countries burning problems. This year in CM was the worst I have ever seen it to-date-year. But I do agree that the Amazon is  being destroyed just like the uncaring ones who burn in Thailand and something really needs to be done about it and fast. Too bad no submarine to send.

STUNNED SILENCE!

How can he be serious, based on his success in CM?

Theres no hope ????

Best post this year, he visited CM and demanded the local authorities stop the fires and the pollution in 7 days. Nothing happened.

Your inferring someone in Thailand takes notice of him, may I ask who this person is, is it his wife? :shock1:

Could be true our family know all loud mouth mid aged ladyboy insists that Germany is just above Thailand on the map, just before China. And he insists that the atlas and the big globe we have at home for the kids are wrong.

He wants to provide face masks as a form of assistance ?????????????

like offering a bandaid for a broken leg with bones sticking out

why not send a few hundred or thousand soldiers to assist? It’s not as if they are doing anything back home.
