BANGKOK, 24 August 2019(NNT) - Thailand and the Netherlands have confirmed their readiness to strengthen cooperation based on Thai law principles and international practice.

Mr. Ferdinand Grapperhaus, Minister of Justice and Security, Kingdom of the Netherlands, paid a courtesy call on General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister and Minister of Defense this week.

The Prime Minister expressed his confidence that the experience and expertise of the legal and judicial processes of the Netherlands will lead to closer cooperation between the justice agencies of the two countries. He also expressed his appreciation of the Netherlands placing importance on the principles of human rights and protection of its people, which are also issues that the Thai government supports and places importance on. He emphasized that Thailand operates its processes based on Thai law and in accordance with international practices.

Mr. Ferdinand expressed his appreciation of the diplomatic relations between the two countries that have developed over more than 415 years, covering a wide range of fields at the bilateral, regional and international levels.

Thailand and the Netherlands are considered important economic partners. The Netherlands is the country in the European Union with the highest level of investment in Thailand. What a strange message, Mr.Grapperhous went to Thailand only because the Dutch government make a big mistake with regards to the false accusation of a Dutchman, which led him and his Thai wife to the Thai prison for a long time.

It is Mr. v.Laarhoven, and they (Thailand) put him in prison for 70 year.

That's a complete different story!
