bobobo
29th of Jan I came back from after a 3 day trip to Cebu. Made my 90day 9 April. First week in July 90day. Now due 28 Sep. Doing my Yearly extension in 2 weeks. Then my friend asked me if filled in TM30 after I come back in Jan. The answer is NO I did not. I simply forgot it. None of 90day very nice officers have made no comment, Does it going to effect me extension. Have the papers in order.. What do You think?? elviajero
It depends on where you apply for the extension. They might want a TM.30 completed before issuing the extension.
SteveK
I went to Chong Mek recently to renew my non-O and get another 90 days. First thing I did was drive to Ubon to do my TM-30, I was suspecting that they would tell me that I needn't have bothered, but they told me that if I had not have done then I would have been fined, or at least my wife would (same thing really, as I would be the one paying the fine in any case). I also asked about whether I needed to keep the receipt for my upcoming 1-year extension of stay based on marriage and they immediately said yes so I suspect that without a TM30 they may either refuse or charge a "fee" depending on the office, but TIT so YMMV. Peterw42
OP, mention the office you will be using and people can advise specific requirements for that office.

jacko45k
12 hours ago, bobobo said: Jomtien mate.. One of the easier locations! I say 'suck it and see'. Go to try for the extension as early as you can, 30 days before, submit and see if they ask. You can only be prepared to submit a TM30 as well if it is mentioned. Have the form and any supporting documents at hand (rental contract, house book type of things). If it is any consolation, I was not asked for one last extension renewal, and I had been in and out of Thailand during the year without doing any TM30s. If you are on a retirement or marriage extension and you registered address at Jomtien Immigration when you first took up residence there, no need to ever do a TM30. Will not affect your application for an extension.
