Combination of Income - Retirement Visa / O-A Extension of Stay

Recommended Posts

Depends where u are from , if the USA, UK, Australia or Denmark then a letter from the embassy supporting ur income is not available, so that makes life difficult.

And, every immigration office is different so the rules are not applied uniformly across the country. For example, earlier this year I was refused a retirement visa in one office, but accepted in another.

Does it matter that the OP is CLEARLY interested ONLY in what Chiang Mai immigration policy is?

The point is what Chiang Mai does is not necessarily the same as another province, so pointing out that possibility is reasonable don't u think.

Regardless I couldn't care less what u think.

Where I nearly slipped up in the combination method was not anticipating the rapid fall of the pound which meant my calculation of income was incorrect for a period of 6 days in the 3 month qualifying period. Especially as Immigration use a very low rate of exchange from the Bangkok Bank.

In future I would have a 100K margin.
