A member of the public alerted police after finding five bags dumped by a road sign in Bang Klam district of heading to Songkhla in Thailand's south.

The bags - four large suitcases and a smaller sack - were found to contain 167 plastic bags each containing a kilo of ice or crystal meth.

This has a street value of about 200,000 baht a kilo making the haul worth about 34 million baht.

Police said that the bags were either put their for pick-up by another gang member or they were dumped because of a police checkpoint.

CCTV is being checked along the route to try and find who might have left the drugs there.

Given the area its probably linked to Narco terrorism. Illegal drugs gave been funding terrorism for decades. Another reason to legalise them and control them.

Watched an interesting programme on UK TV titled World War on Speed. Seems it all kicked off with german pilots being given one of the first types of speed called Pervitin. It was soon taken up by Britain and the USA.

2nd Tank Corp UK, lost 80% of it's tanks and men because they had been given so much of it they lost all sense of fear and lost the ability to make controlled decisions and charged into situations that they normally wouldn't have.  I think it was called Dexedrine.

Strong evidence exists that at one point the US army were supplied chewing gum with coke and speed added.

Just mentioning this for the attention of all the older guys who claim the amphetamine type drug habits today were because of modern influences.

Maybe your uncle etc in WW2 got that medal because he was as high as a kite.

Edit.

Just to add I don't condone its use or think it should be legalised.
