Video: Calm robber pulls out 9 mm gun and makes off with 3 million in gold

CCTV footage from a gold shop at a department store in Thonburi showed a cool, calm and collected gold robber steal 159 baht weight in gold worth 3 million baht and 40,000 baht in cash. 

 

The man - aged about 50, dark complexion, 160 cms, tall wearing a cap - had been looking at some gold jewelry when he suddenly pulled out a gun that startled the two ladies serving him. 

 

He said: "Just stay calm".

 

They then emptied the contents of three display cases and loaded up a bag with the jewelry and some cash. After they had finished he ordered them to crouch down.

 

He then put the gun in his waistband and left as calmly as he came riding off on a red and black Honda Click that he had parked by the side of the store. He headed for Taling Chan wearing a full face helmet.

 

It all happened yesterday evening at the Aurora store with the branch name of Tan Hua Seng on Sirinthorn Road in the Bang Phlat police jurisdiction. 

 

Staff remembered the man from a visit he made at the end of last month. He was shown on CCTV then though he didn't buy anything. 

 

Bang Phlat police are on the case.
