Quick update......

Went to changwattan this morning arriving around 7.15am getting queue number 170 for lining up outside before the doors open at 8.30am (this new queue system that wasn't there last year). Once inside we got queue number 16 counter L.

The online printout of the tm30 (checked in myself at our house 2.5 months  on the 30 July LATE eventhough I arrived in Thailand on the 3rd of may) was acceptable no fine no need to visit the tm30 counter, officer attached it to our pile of papers. They were satisfied that at least an effort was made reporting.

At the end the officer told my wife that in a month when returning at the end of the consideration period they need an updated copy of the bank nook with the 400,000+ in it. She maybe it clear no money in, no visa!! This wasn't required last year.

It's getting more difficult year by year this was my 3rd time as I mentioned before

Hope this helps others,

???????? ????????

I wonder what the 400,000 is for, it can not be to support oneself if it has to be tied up for three months. In fact if a retiree or married man can afford to tie up the required amount then he is probably working in Thailand!

Not true, no facts, just..... well you know.

For many people the 400k baht is not the only funds they have to live on. Some might be on a pension that does not meet the 40k baht income requirement.

Yesssssssss I agree to that.

Tie the money for the 3months isn't the problem but expecting people to not been able to withdraw your funds is insane.

One more thing iforgot was that they told my wife that the handwritiren map to our house needs to be handwritten every year, you can't use a photocopy of the old one, I mean how does a map changes been in the same house for 13 years!!

As I said before it gets tougher and tougher, what's next? Will

Find out in a year's time

????????????????

Quick update

@Changwattana Bangkok

Picked up the stamp today after the one month consideration period, had to provide a photocopy of the latest balance plus the actual bank book.

No questions, took a little longer cause of two African-Thai couples holding up the queue due to some missing paperwork.

Arrived at 10am got ticket L36..... out by 11.30am!!

Good for another year, once again no visit from immigration this was my 3rd Non O Extension based on wife, in my 13 years living in Thailand.

????????????????????????????????????
