webfact Posted September 10, 2019 Share Posted September 10, 2019 Immigration police in "Nana" area crime sweep on Monday night Immigration police Division 1 inspected businesses and operators throughout the Nana area of Bangkok on Monday night. Led by Pol Col Chatchawan Thippichai starting at 8 pm they visited Sois 3 - 5 on Sukhumvit Road checking on foreign workers and work permits. Shops and businesses were given advice on complying with 1979 laws. Naew Na said it was conducted in accordance with immigration chief Lt-Gen Sompong Chingduang's orders. The public can call 1178 to report illegal activity, they said. There were no reports of arrests. Yesterday we had a bunch of mahine gunholding special police with a warrant to search our house turn up. They were looking for drugs and guns. What a joke! Im an old man. Havent even seen a drug in 30yrs.. and guns? Well, one things for sure i dam well need them. We complained about local corruption and this is one of many things that happen as retaliation and there will be much more to come. This country is out of control!
