Police have arrested the final suspect in a case of three Thai women who were sold into sex slavery in Bahrain.

Chotika "Ja" Nidoksuk, 34, was arrested at a house in Khok Samran sub-district of Yasothon in Thailand's north east.

She denies human trafficking charges from a warrant issued three years ago.

The case involved the trafficking of three Thai women who were told they were going to work in a laundry in Bahrain. They were given free return flights and spending money of 50,000 baht.

But when they arrived in the middle eastern country they had their passports taken away from them and were forced into sex slavery.

They were told by five Bahraini men that if they tried to escape they would be thrown off the hotel.

Bahrain police rescued the women and they returned home to Thailand and an arrest warrant was issued for three suspects.

Two have already been caught and the woman in Yasothon was the last of the three.
