Then indeed you have to check/search for another virtual keyboard. Or is it hidden in the settings (Language/Input/Keyboard)? Do a search for "android virtual keyboard microphone symbol missing". Not Android, but in Chrome I accidentally turned my mic. off and had a difficult time re-activating it.
