PHUKET: An illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing (IUU) boat with eight Thais on board has been seized in Thai waters off Phuket, Vice Admiral Ronnapop Karnjanapan of the Royal Thai Navy Third Area Command announced yesterday (Sept 15).

FTI hopes for further cut in policy interest rate to tame strong Baht

High water level being monitored in eight reservoirs

After ‘unfair’ ministry order, nursery teachers fear for jobs amid big debts

Following last week’s tragedy in which a 43-year-old Kalasin motorcycle mechanic was stressed to the point that he committed suicide after the Interior Ministry dismissed his nursery teacher wife, fellow teachers admitted on Monday that they were all under “tremendous” stress, fearing for their jobs at a time when many of them have racked up a lot of debts.
