The task of screening the qualifications of cabinet ministers rests with the Office of the Secretary-General of the Cabinet

Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngarm admitted today (Monday) that the authority concerned had not vetted the educational background of Captain Thammanat Prompao, before he was appointed deputy agriculture minister, because the vetting process might have delayed the appointment of the cabinet

Easily done .. bit like his doing time for a narc's misdemeanor .. that he didn't really do by all account's ..

Interesting. Could it be that other cabinet members would also have been caught out if the Office of the Secretary-General had been allowed to do its job?

Do they “vett” all cabinet members and the party leader?

Thank god it's ethical to them to allow have criminals appointed. I was worried some decent people were in this gov't.

Still, not as bad a job not vetting this cabinet guy who spent years in Australian jail on serious criminal charges and the PM swears and stand by him...

Asked about this issue, Wissanu said he was not aware of this issue and referred the matter to the Election Commission’

We didn’t fire you, Khun Thammanat. It was that nasty lot in the election commission.
