ebean001
I think many countries should change the retirement VISA from age (whatever it is) to age 0. This VISA requires a person to report every 90 days and a new VISA once a year. This would make it a lot easier to track people. It would also add a huge amount of money to the country. Expats and especially Digital Nomads can stay in the country and spend at least 65,000 bahts a month. Billions of dollars would enhance the economy and, at the same time, make it easier to track foreigners…who really do not cause many problems when considering the huge amount of money they contribute to the economy. 1
mosan
Never going to happen. It's not really about the money. It's about the difference in attitude and actions between people who are in their twenties, thirties or forties and people who are 50 years of age and older. One only has to look at the amount and type of incidents by younger folks compared to older folks. Once 50 something person gets past hanging out in bars they, on average become quite docile. And if they are married, even more so. Nothing personal...
