LONDON (Reuters) - British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was confronted at a London hospital on Wednesday by the father of a sick child who said the care his child received had not been acceptable and that the nation’s health service had been destroyed.

As Johnson visited Whipps Cross University Hospital in east London, Omar Salem remonstrated with Johnson over the care his 7-day-old daughter had received on the children’s ward after being treated by the emergency department.

Salem, who describes himself on Twitter as an activist for the opposition Labour Party, complained to Johnson about repeated delays on the ward.

“That’s just not acceptable,” Salem told Johnson, who stood listening. “There are not enough people on this ward.”

“The NHS has been destroyed and now you come here for a press opportunity,” Salem told Johnson.

Salem, posting on Twitter, praised the emergency care his daughter had received but said she had waited to see a doctor for hours when transferred to a ward.

I hope the next time you visit a Thai hospital when you’re sick they’re refusing you because your first name doesn’t make you indigenous enough.

Next time he visits a Thai hospital he will pay for 100% of everything. Unlike that alien complaining to a PM.

Yea and ask for Prayuth next time to attend your needs. You may get a half bitten banana in face if you lucky

This character is an Egyptian photographer, living in London.  Typical of the non UK citizens who subscribe to forums venting their angst at being denied a right to live and abuse a society for which they have neither contributed or respect.

Not enough people on the ward? Sound like there were too many. He should have been with his daughter if she was a patient, not stalking the corridors searching for a bit of activist theatrics.

Looks like they both were there for a press opportunity. Boris should have told him to <deleted> off.

News coming out of the USA and UK these days are like the same sitcom adapted to either country, like The Office.

Anyone who voices dissatisfaction with authority is an agent provocateur working for [insert names of usual suspects here].

The same side-stepping of the law and the combative attitudes towards rules and norms.  One might suspect they were both being advised by the same entity.

For an ‘Egyptian’ he has a remarkably posh british accent or is a person never british unless they can trace their heritage back to the battle of Hastings?

Oh, and tell me, what is actually incorrect about what he said? Or was that he was simply too brown for your liking??

What has that go to do with the price of fish? He’s clearly british, making the point that the NHS and his daughters hospital is woefully underfunded. If he’s got the PM in front of him, he’s entirely within his rights to let loose as a citizen.

Again, everyone is banging on about Egypt for some reason, but no one is challenging his point.

He is just another one of John McDonnell disciples, probably doing what he has been ordered to do. More than likely a set-up, if not a very big coincidence.

And to blame a PM for everthing and anything that hasn't been in the job for two months yet is totally rediculous.

He worked for Emily Thornberry the Shadow Foreign Secretary for two and a half years. It might as well have been Jeremy Corbyn confronting the PM in the hospital.

The NHS is getting £134 Billion this year, how much do you think they should be receiving? Sanctimonious idiots never have to do the sums though, do they.

Certainly looks that way.

An anti-Brexit Labour activist who worked for Emily Thornberry ???? for 2 years complaining to the Brexit leading Tory PM about the free treatment his daughter is receiving at tax payers expense. Then tweeting about it for maximum publicity.

You'd think he'd be supportive of the extra 1.8 Billion that Johnson has pledged to the NHS, as promised during the Brexit campaign (on top of the 20BN per year by 2023 that the previous Tory PM pledged last year). Maybe he'd prefer to see Corbyn wreck the economy?

A very elaborate set up.

Managed to get his daughter to become ill for 7 days, have her checked into the hospital that Boris was visiting.

Wow, a whole 5 weeks of funding based on the 350m a week the big red busses said you'd be getting back! Down right lavish!

This was publicity stunt organised by the buffoon. It went wrong like most things he tries to organise.  The photographer had a legitimate complaint - the NHS is not safe under the tories. His nationality/political views are irrelevant and poster who seize on irrelevancies miss the point.

Did you read the article?

On top of the 20 Billion per year pledged last year (that's 384 million per week, more than the 350 million promised).
