webfact
Smog from Indonesia’s forest fires in Songkhla sparks protest A small group of people demonstrated in front of the Indonesian Consular Office in Thailand’s southern province of Songkhla this morning (Friday) to demand that the Thai government apply pressure on Indonesia to stop the forest fires on Sumatra and Borneo islands, which are being blamed for the thick smog blanketing five southern provinces of Thailand. Several policemen were deployed in front of the Indonesian Consular Office during the brief and peaceful protest. In Hat Yai district of Songkhla, one of the five provinces affected, the level of 2.5 micron dust particles in the air was measured at 230 micrograms/cubic metre at 4pm on Wednesday, the worst in three years. Wiggy
???????? Classic. If the Thai government can't/won't stop it in their own country I can't see them doing much to stop it elsewhere.

toenail
This annual smoke issue has been going on for more than 25 years and the “fat cats” in Indonesia have done nothing to stop this. (Too much money involved ) Malaysia & Singapore have been too passive - bomb the parliament building in Jakarta and maybe the corrupt government officials would finally get the message. Tropposurfer
Despite the delusionary rhetoric about there being hope for world I weirdly sadly crazily think and feel we are doomed to destroy our beautiful world and die choking and writhing in our own <deleted>. oh! Did I forget to say? HAVe a nice day

Exempting rape and abuse, what people do in the privacy of their bedroom has never hurt anyone, in sharp contrast to air pollution that is responsible for millions of death from emphysema, cancer etc. So, yeah, bomb the Indonesian parliament, and while you at it, the headquarters of the Fascist (sorry meant Republican party) in the USA. The greatest criminals are usually not found in penitentiaries, but in governments and parliaments.
