Bangkok’s Seacon Square and Seacon Bangkae will separately be celebrating “China Today” in association with the local China Cultural Centre, displaying more than 1,000 handcrafted treasures from 10 museums as well as stunning art and cultural performances.

There will also be high-technology and advanced innovative products from China for sale.

Seacon Square on Srinakharin Road hosts the show from September 27-October 6 and Seacon Bangkae on Petchkasem Road from October 11-20.

Vice president Charun Poopat said China Today offered a chance “to experience China’s great development today” and strengthen Sino-Thai relations.

The handicrafts from 10 museums in nine major Chinese cities are not otherwise on sale in Thailand. They’ll be shipped here directly from Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Guangdong, Guangxi, Jilin, Neimenggu, Shaanxi and Nanjing.

Visitors will also be impressed by 15 contemporary art and cultural performances from China, such as panda wrestling, acrobatics, magic, the art of making tea with gooseneck kettles, Sichuan opera and the dances known as Blooming Flowers, Lii Yuan Ming Ling, Seven-coloured Lotus and Xiao Hwa Tan.

Moreover, customers are invited to shop for Chinese high-technology products, which will be shipped for customers to shop until they drop.

Delicious Chinese food will be everywhere to sample in a delightful atmosphere set against models of Shanghai’s Oriental Pearl Tower and other evocative structures.
