rooster59
Cannabis oil couple arrested after death of leukemia patient Caption: Ganja oil caused death! Police in Chiang Mai armed with an arrest warrant detained a husband and wife for the illegal production and distribution of cannabis oil online. Cash in the sum of 3.4 million baht was found at their home. The arrests followed complaints from the family of a cancer patient who took the oil but died. Pol Maj-gen Phichet Jiranantasin led the raid along with Saraphi district officers at a house in Chomphu sub-district. There they arrested husband and wife Nipphon, 34 and Wichunee, 31. They found 30 boxes of cannabis oil, bank books, house registration documents and 3.4 million baht in 1000 baht notes. It was all taken in as evidence and the couple were charged with possessing and distributing the oil online under laws relating to Class 5 drugs. The raid resulted from a complaint from the family of a 39 leukemia sufferer who bought the oil and died soon after. Doctors said she had succumbed to an infection of the vocal chords. The wife in the case said that they had bought oil from Laos which they then mixed in Thailand and sold online for 1,000 baht a bottle. Tests are now underway to see the exact composition of the oil and whether the couple might be charged in connection with the cancer patient's death. Wichunee said that she qualified with a bachelor's degree in business and started by selling bags to protect fruit from insects and then sold agricultural equipment. But after trying cannabis oil herself and being convinced of its health benefits she decided to start that business. She claimed that many of her customers felt better and one cancer sufferer who had been given 2 months to live lasted two years after taking her oil. She denied that the 3.4 million was derived from the sale of the oil saying it was from the sale of the agricultural equipment. Investigations continue. keith101
Thai people need to keep their expectations of what cannabis oil can be used for , it is not a cure all for everything just helps alleviate certain symptoms of certain diseases and some mental illnesses and pain relief . Lao origin then 'mixed' (??) in the LoL, well, well ... However, personally came across 2 people who swear by the drops, one would be my landlady, a good half year after a moddabike accident involving a damned soi-dawg and her seriously injuring/twisting her knee, 8 weeks cast and all she's still not fully back on deck - aged 57 or so btw. She says nothing helps better against the pain than applying couple drops externally just like you'd do with say Counterpain or the likes ... 2nd one is a +/- 60 yo guy suffering from some nervous disease apparently resulting in a feeling like a 'sleeping' limb (you know where you lean on your arm for example for quite some time and then the blood comes back in ...) only in a painful way, mostly lower legs and strongest in the evening when no distractions ... Again external use only, in both cases just a CBD 2percenter, not 'strong' at all, main ingredient is coconut oil, pleasant smell and all ... manufactured by someone who knows what they're doing I should add ... Myran
"The arrests followed complaints from the family of a cancer patient who took the oil but died." Well what the hell did they expect, that the cannabis oil would magically heal them of cancer? One Google search and about 2 minutes of research would have told them everything they needed to know about what this stuff actually can do, and it sure as hell doesn't include the healing of cancer. You're absolutely correct. Research into other areas show promise but the jury is still out. Unfortunately the war on drugs curtailed valid research into all its possible benefits, basically science is playing catch up due to these governmental handcuffs. If they do find concrete proof that some aspect of the plant is a cure for a terrible disease that afflicts many, governments around the world are going to look very stupid. fvw53
The leading TVF Moderator on this topic (Sheryl) wrote that the distribution of cannabis oil is not yet approved in Thailand. She closed a discussion opened by me questioning if there was black market ....as if I wanted to find my way to this illegal market and this absolutely not the case. This new discussion proves there is a black market and that is indeed scandalous.
