webfact
Video: Sharks come to feed in shallow waters in Krabi Thai caption: Exciting sight of Blacktip Reef Sharks 77kaoded reported that a group of about ten Blacktip Reef Sharks had been filmed coming in to feed in shallow waters in the area of Koh Hong in the Than Bok Korani national park. The sharks were after a shoal of mackerel and circled for 30 minutes on Saturday. Park chief Jampen Phomphakdee said that this was an infrequent sight as the sharks normally preferred deeper waters. He said their appearance was testament to ecology efforts in the area in banning commercial fishing and warning tourists not to damage the sharks who pose no threat to mankind. HHTel
There are many videos of reef sharks swimming in the shallows in the region going back over the last few years. It's not as infrequent as the post makes us believe.
