Help on the way for "half size" handicapped man who wanted apprenticeship

There has been good news for Chatree Kornwatcharathada or "Nong Tot" who wants to be a mechanic. 

 

The 22 year old in Chiang Mai had gone online to make a plea for someone to accept him as an apprentice - he said: "There is only half of me, is that enough?"

 

Tot does not have anything from the waist down. 

 

Now the Department of Empowerment for Persons with Disabilities has offered him a place on a course. 

 

And both Toyota and PTT have offered to help Tot out with on the job training.

It is great that he will be able to follow his passion and dream of being a mechanic. But his skills may be a bit wasted there - he may be stronger behind a keyboard helping to inspire disabled people and get others the help they desperately need.
