Still, I am not changing schools to face 4 more months (probationary period) without a WP. Quavering in my boots every time when returning to Thailand. What's the latest? DavisH Posted October 1, 2019 Share Posted October 1, 2019 If your school is in the process of getting a work permit there should be no problem. Just about every new teacher will be working without a work permit at the start. It should not take months to get it either. You can ask to see the paperwork they are supposed to be preparing and they should also ask for a medical certificate that is valid for just a month.
