Presiding Judge Le Sokha identified the accused as 60-year-old tourist Danny Lee Pope. Judge Sokha said the accused was charged with sexual intercourse with a minor and purchase of child prostitution. If convicted, the accused could be jailed between five to ten years. He noted the accused was arrested by Phnom Penh police’s anti-human trafficking department in Por Senchey district on March 2. Colonel Keo Thea, chief of the anti-human trafficking department, yesterday said the accused was wanted for sexual abuse of minors in 2007, but fled overseas before he was able to be arrested.
