DjChris28
Hello, I'm planning on starting my own business and I'm already working on the service I'm building and have some questions about elite visa. A) if I get an elite visa, can I also apply for a thai bank account? I actually have a thai bank account because I worked there before but I can't deposit money into it and the bank card expires in 2022. When I go to siam commercial bank, they always want blue work book (which I dont have now because of not working). B) when applying for an elite visa, is it better to not have my business registered at the time of applying? Will they check backgrounds to see if I have a business and maybe am trying to work remotely there? I have loads of savings saved up (like 70k usd in savings). It looks legit I could be living there on my savings. C) if I have an elite visa, will I have problems with immigration denying entry because they suspect me working remotely there. I think immigration only care about MTV and also multiple 3 month visas.
ubonjoe
A. Yes and Thai Elite can assist with open accounts at some banks. Why can't you make deposits into your account? B. The only thing they check is your immigration history and for any criminal record here. C. No
kiever
Everybody can have bank account in Thailand even if upon visa exemption. Just go tiktok services in Pattaya. They charge 4500 baht to open bank account for you That is all.
lupin
you do understand you cannot work in any way shape or form in Thailand on the Elite Visa right? It falls under the classification of a tourist visa and specifically states this on application/terms and conditions and on their website faq. You can apply for a NON -B and a work permit... and your PE MEMBERSHIP will remain valid, but you cannot use the visa or renew the extension until the NON-B (and work permit) is canceled.

Not entirely true... You can not get a work permit, thats all, but some professions don't need a work permit at all, or even some people don't need a work permit... ( American Treaty for example in some cases , specialists, researchers, experts... )

I guess your company will be outside of Thailand based on what you've said. There's no reason why you can't own a business in some other part of the world, or indeed Thailand while on the TE visa. You can't work in Thailand though, not on this visa.

I’ve never worked or had a work permit and have multiple bank accounts. Some banks have said no WP no account until you push them and then they’ll do it. If they don’t, just go to another branch/bank.
