Immigration chief Lt-Gen Sompong "Big Oud" Chingduang announced the arrest of three Indians - two men and a woman - who had been living in Thailand for years on fake marriage licences.

They were named as Ajay, 40, Manoj, 35 and Ms Sandeep 26.

Ajay was arrested when he went to Khok Samrong district in Lopburi for a tenth year extension to his marriage visa. His wife Bee was not with him and his documents were found to have been falsified.

Manoj was a similar case. He was renewing for the fourth year at Huay Khwang in Bangkok. He had married Wanyee. His documents had a fake Indian embassy stamp among other falsifications.

Sandeep was married to a man called Sakchai and was arrested in Non Sang district of Nong Bualamphu in the north east. This case involved the connivance of corrupt local officials, said the Lt-Gen.

All those arrested will be deported and blacklisted and all other matters are currently awaiting court warrants.

Ah, you'd have thunk it was the TM30 that led to his arrest.

Why the head of immigration is announcing the arrests of a few foreigners for fake documents is beyond me. Doesn't he have more important things he can be doing?

Indians are specialists in document forgery, I'd like to know how many are still illegally in Thailand with false documents!

Ah the murderer Norwegian who fled country on bail went with real documents. You smell racist.

Am I wrong in thinking we might see a rise in reports on these situations coming?

Let's hope they catch more of them.

My Thai wife and I spent all morning and part of the afternoon at CM Immigration doing it the straight way.

These sneaky creeps make it harder for all of us.

He does but other things do not put him on the front pages ????

See how good immigration works under his command ? They busted 3 Indians after 10 years of making extensions ????

Small Oud is an impostor just like the biggest joke was. At least he is not the publicity hound, that that former fraud was. I think he has been warned not to hog the spotlight. Immigration continues with it's nationalist agenda, it's hatred of foreigners, and it's utter racism.
