Anyone in Trump's position who believes the members of the House or Senate can be impeached is clearly an ignoramus. So the kind of nonsense his lawyer was obviously written to please trump since the Constitution and the weight of jurisprudence about the Constitution are clearly in contradiction to those claims. The democrats scored big in 2018 precisely because they have governance ideas. Lke health care. And raising taxes on the wealthy which is popular even among Republicans. And using some of that increased revenue for America's badly decaying infrastructure. In fact, had the revenues lost to the tax cut instead been dedicated to infrastructure, Trump would probably be a lot more popular now. But it was more important to him to deepen the swamp. The optics are irrelevant. Congress is acting with a constitutional right and following house rules. If you dont like the rules blame republicans.
