Locals called in the Thai media after they reported that a near 5 million baht tourist center had become derelict in the Phangnga area.

The building on Petchkasem Road in Thay Meuang district is shaped like a turtle's back.

But the roof has holes in it and the walls are in a terrible state of disrepair.

A sign suggests it was built at a cost of 4,897,000 baht between July 2017 and February of last year. It is described as a tourist centre and a place for the distribution of local products.

Ratchanok, 38, told Daily News that she has no idea whose responsibility it is or who owns it. It has just been left to rot.

Her neighbors were cutting the grass but she wanted the owners to do something about the building.

Just another failed business .

A not such good idea .

There are many of those in Thailand .

There are many buildings strewn about the countryside built as office/shop space or apartment spaces with zero tenants.  No pre-planning - build it and they will come -NOT!
