webfact Posted October 15, 2019 Share Posted October 15, 2019 Two in custody more arrests coming after attack on Finn in South Thailand Picture: Daily News Two Thai men are in custody after a knife attack and robbery on a Finnish national in Nakorn Sri Thammarat at the weekend. Timo P. was stabbed in the neck and is in hospital. Yuthapoom and Panya, 56, are in custody with two more Prasit, 35, and Sawat, 59, being sought. Some 36,000 baht has been recovered but the robbery is thought to have involved considerably more money. Yesterday Pol Maj Parinya Raksakaew of the tourist police went to visit the victim who is recovering in hospital. He thanked the police for their efforts and said that his carelessness with showing he had the money had caused the trouble and no blame should be attached to the police. More details as we hear of them. The man was robbed and stabbed in the neck and is recovering in hospital. Several people who carried out the attack and handled hundreds of thousands in stolen baht are either in custody or will soon be arrested. Gen Chakthip Chaijinda praised the work of police in Nakhon Sri Thammarat for handing the case quickly and transparently, spokesman Pol Col Krissana Pattanacharoen told INN. Anyone with further information about the robbery could call 191, 1599 or 075 341030, he said.
