Thai caption: Lighting collapses at "Ramwong" stage

Police were called to the temple of  Wat Pholoi in Ban Lat, Phetchaburi after lighting supports collapsed at a Ramwong (Thai circle dancing) event.

Five people were taken to hospital - three women and two men aged between 51 and 78.

Two suffered head injuries and were later transferred for further treatment.

The collapse was caused by a young man swinging on a rope used to make the supports taut.

Raisathon police are looking for a 25-30 year old male who was dressed in a blue shirt with cartoon design and jeans.

Several ramwong troupes were performing at the event and the incident occurred after one song when a troupe was leaving the stage via some steps. .

How was he able to pull loose this fantastic use of health & safety equipment.

The lighting guy did all that was required of him, surely! - he tied it all together with rope.

Of course, it is the young, drunk guys fault! 🙂 NOT.

people in charge of the event are responsible for everything that happened - not some idiot that was "allowed" to climb and swing from the rafters (ropes) and pull the whole thing down, people do stupid things the fact he was not stopped from doing it is the problem

same applies to the roads and the police - police do nothing to stop the idiots and the carnage on the roads by enforcing existing laws

So if it wasn't the fault of a guy swinging on the ropes that secured the lighting who's fault was it?
