When you run from the police, bad things happen.....

stupid father....thinking ONLY of himself....and he pays the price for it

He should be charged with evading police and causing loss of life.

Persons who evade the Police should be arrested and prosecuted .

If a person evades the Police, that doesnt give the Police the right or legality to murder them .

If it turns out that the Police deliberately shot the boy for no reason, the Policeman should face murder charges

I don't know which is worse. A father taking his child along while engaging in unlawful activity, or poorly-trained trigger-happy police.

A young life snuffed out by lack of care. RIP.

R.I.P a young life taken away way too soon

an investigation needs to be taken and the Officer bullet should be charged

for discharging a weapon when there was no need to

charges need and should happen

father should never have had an innocent in the vehicle while knowingly transporting contraband. what the police did is another matter subject to debate

Lack of firearms training I am afraid.  The police have to buy there own ammo so many are reluctant to do regular training.  Only a year or so back a video was taken of a Pattaya cop unloading his magazine in an attempt to  blow out the tyres on a car.  This was on Beach Rd outside Soi 9 police station with a lot of bystanders around.  In this latest case of cowboy cops,  Sadly, the young boy will never get to experience life.

“The police have to buy there [sic] own ammo...”

Well if they have to buy their own ammo, they might be buying the very cheapest, very poorly made, bad quality ammo. And that can cause more problems.

Police thought they were chasing a drug dealer.

   RIP, little boy.

Yea, a sad result of shoot first and then ask principle ....

Something to keep in mind when you are in a hurry and you suddenly remember that you forgot Your wallet at home ...

RIP

The police "THOUGHT" they where drug smugglers...

Ive done it a few times in my life, not for being over the limit, having anything illegal on me, but rather to avoid the hassle...

I guess that technically, using their form of reasoning,  they could have shot at me too, if they "thought" I was a drug smuggler

sad for the boy. but how does a shot fired at a back tire (low target) end up going through the back of the cab (high target). Vert bad shooting, or shooter is lying.

apparently you have never been in charge of a weapon, what do you think happens as you go over bumpy roads in a pursuit, lucky it was  not a machine gun !

poor boy …. nothing to do with him, just in the wrong place at the wrong time. His father can live with that shame for the rest of his life ….

RIP young man, you will be loved always.

You must be joking. Your post implies competence on the part of the police.

Other than expressing my sorrow for this child, I cannot fathom the absolute incompetence of the law enforcement agencies of this country of smiles. This country is another world unto itself, living on some sort of cloud of denial, run by a kafkaesque administration. It is better not to try to understand it unless one wants to finish in the cuckoo’s nest.

RIP

I don't have the words to express my disgust at this trigger-happy moron. Or my anger at the bootlegger pressing his child into this situation in the first place. A young life with all its hopeful potential was lost for no reason at all beyond utter stupidity and thoughtlessness. Many humans are no better than base animals, all over the world. And it will always be so. 😔

The truck had already crashed. Either legendary bad shooting or lying about they were shooting at. I know which one I favor

And the large quantity of moonshine booze with all the harmful ingredient's that the father had intended to distribute, would have probably killed even more people.
