HannesBenz
which of these thai driving licenses are also valid in the other ASEAN nations? Is it the 2 year motorcycle license, or the 5 year motorcycle license, or both of them are valid in ASEAN?? In the agreement it says something like "except temporary license" Article 1 link down below. But it says also Thailand and some other countries has the classes A, B, C, D, E and so on. And Typ E is the temporary motorcycle license, now i am confused. https://asean.org/?static_post=agreement-on-the-recognition-of-domestic-driving-licences-issued-by-asean-countries-kuala-lumpur-9-july-1985
overherebc
Generally the two year licence is considered as the same as a provisional licence. Call it a learners licence if you like. I wouldn't rely on it in the event of an accident.
blackcab
2 year licenses have the word "Temporary" on the front, at the top.
KhunBENQ
1 hour ago, HannesBenz said: except temporary license As I just wrote in your duplicate thread: That's what the "2 year" license is officially labeled. And as far as I remember one of the restrictions is not driving outside Thailand.
