webfact Posted October 18, 2019 Share Posted October 18, 2019 Thailand Road Carnage: Two dead, two injured in four vehicle collision in Hat Yai Thai caption: Four vehicle collision A four vehicle collision on the Hat Yai bypass has left two people dead and two seriously injured in hospital. The accident involved a pick-up carrying house paint in the back, a motorcycle, a Toyota Fortuner and a truck trailer. The pick-up hit a motorcycle that had stopped in the middle of the road to turn into a soi. The pick-up driver lost control and collided with an oncoming Fortuner and an oncoming truck trailer. When Hat Yai police arrived there was paint all over the road. Dead in the destroyed pick-up were Somchart, 47, the driver, and his employee Zay Yar Aung, 21, from Myanmar. The rider of the motorcycle and the driver of the Fortuner were rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Traffic in the Khuan Lang area was severe following the accident. cardinalblue Posted October 18, 2019 Share Posted October 18, 2019 Was PU driver speeding not to see cyclist? not paying attention to road details leads to high risk behavior.... I wish it was one thing but proper driving is a collection of following an array of rules of the road.... it’s a shame that driving is so stressful out on Thai roads....
