Omniquestseeker
Can someone please tell me if it is a requirement for foreign citizens who own residential rental real estate here in Thailand to pay income taxes on the income generated from the rentals? However, upon payment of rent a withholding tax is to be paid to the revenue department of 15%. This will be credited to the actual income tax to be paid at the end of the year. The problem is that it’s nearly impossible to get money back from the Thai RD, thus the minimum tax burden for a non tax citizen on rentals is 15%. https://www.duensingkippen.com/thailandpropertylawblog/?p=
