Britten Bike

Yes I am a American yet one should show respect to John Britten.

A Kewi from Christ Church NZ.

One hell of a hand built superbike.

I've a video, far too large to upload, and seeds are dead.

One can read about it on Wikipedia.

Kudos to Kewi's

I prefer the motorcycle with best m/c engine ever built IMO, RC211V.

Honda had a huge amount more resources, both financial and technology than John did and the RC211V is a terrific piece of kit, but the Britten story is amazing.

I knew him well and the few bikes he built are worth a fortune nowadays reflecting the place they earned in the motorcycling world.

Have you been fortunate enough to see one run, particularly if Andrew Stroud was aboard in his prime? It was a sight and sound to behold.

The Britten well deserves it's unique place in motorcycle racing history.

John Britten certainly does a unique engineer, he got some good riders too, Nick Jeffrey's was one and stayed in the same hotel as me on the IOM and set up my Blade for Mad Sunday he didn't race that particular year he had broken his leg.

This a good read and shows riders and bikes of John
