Thailand’s northern provinces of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai may face a magnitude 5 earthquake, as measured on the Richter Scale (ML), in the next 10 years after a 4.1 ML tremor shook seven districts of the two provinces on Friday night, according to the Department of Mineral Resources.

Thalang police in Phuket arrested 29 year old Wimon Songkong from Nakhon Si Thammarat with 192 amphetamine pills that he was carrying when they nabbed him in front of a 7-Eleven store inside a PTT gas station on Thepkasattri Road, in Thalang District.

Dam in Chiang Mai unaffected by earthquake

CHIANG MAI (NNT) - Irrigation Office 1 has inspected Mae Kuang Udom Thara Dam following a 4.1-magnitude earthquake in Doi Saket district of Chiang Mai. It was found that the dam is still safe and not affected by the earthquake.
