I don't think it's actually treason but otherwise correct. No need to overcharge.

Link: Pelosi releases 'fact sheet' revealing how Trump ‘betrayed oath of office’

"House Speaker Nancy Pelosi disseminated a “fact sheet” on Monday outlining how President Trump, in her words, “betrayed his oath of office, betrayed our national security and betrayed the integrity of our elections for his own personal political gain” in his dealings with the Ukrainian government."

I'm with Pelosi on this one. Betrayal or treason, same, same.

I think the acting ambassador will need to understand that acting alone does not

constitute evidence....his allegations are only his perspective until he provides

proof....a text message/memo/email/recording that corroborates his assertion.

I mean seriously? What exactly has to happen for you to at least start questioning Trump? Bill Taylor, a man who has done nothing other than serve the US his whole life has bravely come forward to establish that yes there was definitely quid pro quo and all you can do is question his 'perspective'.

You and many of the Trump fans on here are so beyond help it's scary and just not worth engaging with any more.

The USA actually asked for something for their money given to a country. About time.

It's quite scary how easily you Trump fans are willing to overlook Trump breaking the law.

It's a violation of campaign finance law to strong-arm a foreign entity to investigate your political opponents. What are you not getting about this?

I'm also with her but that language is not the same as treason. Treason carries the death penalty.

Why should he resign? Exactly. Why? There's no smoking gun here. Both the Russian allegations turned out to be Democrat lies, deceit with full cooperation with Deep State and Hillary Clinton. People were prosecuted and there will be more.

If Republicans do impeach it's only because they are exhausted of the clown. Make room for a swamp dweller.

Democrats just staging end run because out of 25 hopefuls none are presidential material save for Warren w/ VP Gabbard. But you could never win with two women on a ticket. Warren has integrity issues.

Why should he resign?  Because demanding election help from a foreign source is illegal.  Because blackmailing a foreign leader by holding up Congressionally approved aid is an abuse of power.  Because supporting a discredited conspiracy theory about the Democratic server being in Ukraine in order to clear Russia of crimes that all US intelligence agencies and investigations concluded Russia is guilty of is evidence that Trump is in Putin's pocket.

Are you factually impaired or just a troll?

I suppose what they're not getting is simply about total loyalty to 45 for whatever cockamamie reason (more like no good reason).

I can see you're frustrated that not everyone buys into the slim, shaky and downright misleading narrative that the Dems have concocted...to prevent themselves from being completely humiliated and stripped of House powers in

2020.

To answer your question I want incontrovertible proof. Get me the Don on video, get me a voice recording...

and for god's sake, get me a crime that the Dems themselves have not committed while in power and while out to get him. Quid pro quos with Ukraine....they've done it....colluding with foreign elements to spy on Trump and fabricate

dirt...they've done it. Yet suddenly they're guardians of the constitution...gimme a break.

“I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and wouldn’t lose any voters, okay?” Trump said, mimicking firing a gun with his fingers. “It’s, like, incredible.”

???????????? no no no... the US did not, the trump did... and he broke the law and spat on the constitution... ergo impeachment.

an example of the USA asking for something for their money, would be joe Biden, acting on his superiors direction, asking for a corrupt governmental official to be removed, to facilitate transparency within Ukraine. ????

Hate to disappoint you, JHolmesJr, but there won't be any proof of a quid pro quo forthcoming.  It's impossible as it doesn't exist.

Would a transcript of the telephone conversation with Trump asking for a 'favor' prove to be 'incontrovertible proof'?

If only such a thing existed.

But it isn't. Not yet anyway. 45 still has 90 percent approval from republicans.

But remember:  "As of September 2019, Gallup polling found that 31% of Americans identified as Democrat, 29% identified as Republican, and 38% as Independent.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_party_strength_in_U.S._states

So if 90% approval is correct, that's 90% of 29% = c. 26%.

Hard to impugn Mr. Taylor: West Point grad, Harvard MPA, served in Vietnam (101st Airborne), long government service in both Dem and Rep administraitons, Ambassador to Ukraine 2006-2009 <Bush2>, came back to State at the request of pompeo, to replace ousted Ambassador Yovanovitch, as Charge d'Affaires for Ukraine.

"When it Ukraines, it pours."

Interesting that Ambassador Taylor, West Point Class of 1969, seems to be able to remember the West Point Honor Code a bit better than Sec of State Pompeo, Class of 1986

As Trump gets squeezed tighter he will get more and more crazy. It will be great to watch. He might  do something so irrational it will seal his downfall. Equivalent of directing a break-in at the Watergate. That would be great.

Trump has proven to be bulletproof - Now I'm waiting for all dubious Trump's acts to come to the light, and see how he can get a total pardon - maybe a self-pardon for himself and the Trump family. so that the US don't lose face.

Durham has been given the green light  to expand his investigation after interviewing Christopher Steel!  He’s now interviewing Brennan, and Clapper. The excrement is about to gut the fan. It’s now or never for the democrats.

Trump feeds off of Deep State coup soup. Trump has vowed to take the swamp down.  Time after time, Trump haters have thought they finally got him. This like all the rest will simply serve to espouse the criminality of the dems and their deep state operatives.

The Russian hoax failed and only served to bite them in the ass.

The more they push their attempted coups, the more swing voters they will loose.

Well, there goes the "no Quid Pro Quo" defense out the door.

It looks like all that is left is the "Get Over It" defense.

Nope , still got the ' Commie conspiracy ' and ' But but Clinton ' lines of defence. If they dont work Trump will probably invade Venezuala

Now, if Trump's acting chief of staff had said there was a quid pro quo, that would be damning but fortunately he said nothing of the kind...oh wait a minute...
