PHUKET:-- A German man is thankful his LPG-fuelled Proton car did not suffer serious damage after it caught fire while he was driving from Phuket International Airport to his home in Kata last night (Oct 22).

An Italian man has been arrested after a large quantity of ecstasy pills were found stashed inside a package mailed to him from the Netherlands.

Poor air quality to return to Bangkok and suburbs for remainder of October

People living in Bangkok and surrounding areas are advised to brace for a new round of health-threatening low air quality during the rest of October due to an anticipated increase in PM2.5 dust particles in the atmosphere as less rainfall is forecast, according to the Meteorological Department.

Phuket police arrest meth dealer, discover drugs valued at 15 million baht

Drugs valued at 15 million baht have been seized in a drug crackdown in Phuket. On October 22, Phuket police, along with Phuket Governor Pakkapong Tawipat, reported to the media about a drug crackdown that ended up with a total seizure valued around 15 million baht.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday a ceasefire in northern Syria is now permanent and lifted sanctions on Turkey as a result, rejecting criticism of his decision to pull out U.S. troops that allowed Kurdish allies to come under attack.

North sees rising temperatures, South gets heavy rain
