BANGKOK(NNT)- Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has ordered preparations be made to honorably host the 35th ASEAN Summit and related meetings in November. The prime minister followed up on the preparations being made by various agencies and ordered that road traffic be orderly and not disruptive.

The prime minister chaired a national-level meeting on the preparations for the 35th ASEAN Summit and related meetings scheduled from November 2 to November 4. The meeting also reviewed security measures and accommodation provided for the ASEAN leaders and representatives of international organizations, during their visit.

Government Spokesperson Naruemon Pinyosinwat, said today the prime minister has ordered the orderliness and promptness of travel from airports to the conference venue. Performances during a reception party will be magnificent and will not be too long.

The ASEAN Business and Investment Summit is scheduled for November 2 while the Ministry of Commerce will hold an ASEAN-style Trade Fair. The opening ceremony of the ASEAN Summit is scheduled for November 3. An ASEAN Plus Three Meeting between ASEAN leaders and those of China, Japan and South Korea is scheduled for November 4.

All 10 ASEAN leaders, those of seven trading partner countries, the Secretary General of the United Nations and the President of the International Monetary Fund have confirmed their attendance at the Summit and related meetings. United States President Donald Trump is yet to confirm but the Canadian leader cannot attend due to an internal problem following the latest election in that country.

He also ordered the PM2.5 to drop to lower levels, the clouds to part and the sun to shine...

and the Som-tam to be extra spicy.

It will be another excellent opportunity to show other international dignitaries how far Thailand has come and continues to develop it's infrastructure, with the HSRP just one example.

Khun Prayut Chan O Cha will discuss trade agreements with the seven ASEAN trading partners as well as future growth prospects for the entire region.

well he better damn well come because our honorable leader Khun Prayut Chan O Cha is putting on an expensive show.

He is busy back home trying to even up the imbalance in trade between Thailand and the US. Also spending time bringing the world's attention to the rights abuses and slave labour in the Thai fishing industry.

He is probably also worried about the high health risks of pollution and particle levels in the honourable leader's pristine city.

Also another opportunity for delegates and their entourages to see close up what is happening to the Hopewell circus being played out right now. No doubt they will take special note of what is likely to happen to other potential foreign and ASEAN investors risking their money in the Land of Dirty Tricks.
