khwaibah
A friend who is on an O-A from Canberra just did a hop at Chong Chom to get his second year and to cover his A on the medical insurance that takes effect tomorrow.???? The crossing and Surin Immigration are about 12 km apart all under SI but operated by separately. Surin Immigration two days back told him no problem. ????He did his hop and payed the usual 1800 baht to the Khmer then he came back into the Thai arrival immigration said was told pays us 2000 baht or you only get a 90 day stamp.???? He said f-o-r-k it and paid the 2000.???? He stopped at SI and picked up a multi entry permit for 3800. He talked to the Captain and was told that in 12 months he can use his AUD and baht accounts combo for his new retirement extension and NO insurance.????
