Popular Post JingerBen
Have any members used the THC oil that is being produced by or for the government? This has been my recent experience: I got - it's a long story - a small eyedropper bottle of cannabis THC oil from Maharat Hospital in Chiang Mai for 1000 baht. Rather pricey I thought, but with the hope of some beneficial effects on several legit health problems I have, plus the primal desire to catch a buzz. I took the prescribed two drops under the tongue. The result was zero in mood elevation. Next day I doubled it to four drops. Still nothing. After reaching ten at the end of the week I gave up completely. I prefer not to smoke, but as a last resort I mixed it with some fine-cut homegrown... bonged it, and Bob was my uncle. It's a low-level, long-lasting sa-by sa-by that brings back memories of a very different Thailand when you could buy ganja almost as easily as you could buy beer. Everything old is new again. 4

Sheryl
1. Most oil is CBD and does not contain THC 2. Government product not yet out but when it is, I think also no THC Are you sure what you got was THC oil and not CBD oil? THC is not needed for the intended medical uses

THC is not needed for the intended medical uses What I got from Maharat Hospital was labeled "Cannabis THC Oil". But taking it orally as prescribed, the effects were more like CBD oil. So you may be right... TIT strikes again.
MisterTee
Thanks for that evaluation of what looks like the form of cannabis that will be most readily, and legally, available in the near future. You say you mixed the oil with "homegrown" - maybe you've got some good weed there and the oil doesn't have any psychoactive properties at all. Or possibly heat is necessary to activate it. Using it to make fudge or brownies might have the same effect. It would be interesting to hear from others who have had experience with the oil from hospitals and clinics.

That's a good suggestion about adding the oil to baked edibles. The next time my wife makes brownies I'll put in a "secret ingredient" and put them aside for myself and my friends. cocopops
Quote I got - it's a long story - a small eyedropper bottle of cannabis THC oil from Maharat Hospital in Chiang Mai for 1000 baht. I'd love to hear the short version of the long story if you're in a sharing mood. For what ailment was the oil prescribed?

Ajvat37
The stuff the they are prescribing as thc oil is absolutely bunk. It is garbage and the op got high off his homegrown bud and not the oil 100% positive. The legal “medicine” out now has 0 medicinal value. This whole legalization is about making money not providing excellent quality medical cannabis to sick people and it is showing in the terrible quality product out now. The people saying it works are just clueless or are under some serious placebo effect. Even the cbd oil out now is pure junk.

Popular Post dia1
I was prescribed both THC and CBD oil. The doctor told me to take one 'drop' of THC oil to relax, and at bedtime take one drop of the CBD oil at bedtime for inssomnia. The first day I stupidly thought one drop meant one full dropper and squirted the entire thing on my tongue. It was only a few minutes after that I scratched my head and wondered if he literally meant like a raindrop type drop. Anyway, I sat around for nearly two hours after eating some food and barely felt anything. I thought it wasn't working... But at hour three, I was on another planet. I was a medical mj patient in my home country for a long time, and I have never been that elevated. Note: This is not a good thing. In fact, during that incredibly bad trip, I thought for sure I had been poisoned or was about to die. Scary, because I never imagined thc would mess someone up to that degree and was practically hallucinating. It didn't seem like just plain thc... felt like something else. Anyway, because I was previously an experienced mj user, I realized I had simply taken wayyyy too much. I was able to stay calm for the most part and endured the 10+ hour bad trip. After recovering from the bad experience, I realized the doctor literally meant one drop and took the prescribed dose another day. A very mild feeling, but it wasn't until I upped to two drops that I finally got a medicinal feeling of calm, relaxation, and feeling of no pain throughout my body. The effects usually last about 6-8 hours with the peak sense of well-being around 3 hours. I am happy that Thailand has legalized this, but as a long-term mj patient I have some concerns. My biggest concern is with ingesting too much... I can see someone who is inexperienced or impatient ingesting to much. Unlike smoking or vaping, where your body literally stops you from going too far and you almost instantly feel the effects, it is very easy to take more than needed when consuming the oil. I'm sure inexperienced or impatient people will think it's not working and take more than required, and that over consumption feeling will lead people to do stupid things. I can see people having panic attacks or (unnecessarily) going to the hospital for this. My other concern is quality control. The THC oil I was given works... great. So does the CBD oil. The CBD oil doesn't change your mood or perception, but gives you a heavy feeling like more pleasant melatonin... However, I was also given THC capsules which seem to have no effect whatsoever. So there is defiantly a quality control problem if the tincture work but the capsules do not. Also, the THC in the capsules is clear while the THC tincture is a dark brown/black color...While I'm 100% certain that there is THC in the tincture product, I'm curious why it is brown or what inactive ingredients it's mixed with. Lastly, the effects may be too long lasting. 6-12 hours of feeling lazy and super-relaxed might be okay *sometimes*, but anyone who has smoked/vaped mj knows that smoking or vaping it doesn't leave you in that state more than 2-3 hours. Much more manageable. Anyway... it's a great step forward, but having the option of smoking or vaping the plant directly would be so much better for people and would avoid all these problems. Especially for inexperienced users. My advice to anyone who does use this... whether the THC or CBD: 1. Take the lowest dose possible (one drop). If it doesn't work the first day, forget about it for that day. Do not take more that same day! Try again the next day. Add one drop per day until you reach your medicinal comfort level. 2. Do not take on an empty stomach. THC is oil soluble, and oil by itself often passes through the bowel undigested. So take it a couple minutes before or after eating a meal so that the product is properly digested. 3. Check the time when you take it and wait at least 3 hours before making judgement. Everyone is different and every day will be different. Sometimes you'll feel the full effects at hour 2... sometimes at hour 3. Anyway, be careful and don't rush. What is being provided seems to be legit, but there might be some quality control issues as this is very early days. Don't abuse what i available and end up being the idiot running around naked because he took too much and ruins it for everyone else. This is a great alternative medicine for pain, anxiety, and sleep... also much safer than alcohol. Be safe and don't ruin it for people who actually need it.
